An advisory firm
Strategy, deals, and capital for enterprises crossing into the United States.
For companies entering the US market — in science, creative work, and food. We design the crossing.
Strategy Development · Deal Structuring · Capital Formation
The Work
Three disciplines, held to the same standard.
Strategy Development
The shape of the entry: where to land, what to build, how to be understood. Direction before motion.
Deal Structuring
Partnerships, licenses, and transactions, structured so the terms hold and the value stays where it was made.
Capital Formation
Capital matched to the stage. Funding that multiplies the work without diluting its author.
Sectors
Three domains where value exists before the market learns to price it.
Science
Discovery has weight before it has a market.
Creative work
What is made carries meaning before it carries a price.
Food
Craft and provenance, real before they are recognized.
The Principle
Real value exists before the market prices it.
The market recognizes late. In that lag, value passes through intermediaries, and sovereignty passes with it. To be received, the maker is asked to surrender the thing made.
ethcalon refuses that exchange. We carry value across into recognition, and leave its sovereignty with the one who created or discovered it.
The market changes. The discipline does not.
Direction before motion · Value before price · Sovereignty stays with the maker
The Architect
Shinji Otsubo
ethcalon is built by Shinji Otsubo, Founder and Architect.
He leads global business development for FRONTEO’s Life Science AI division, and has built and led companies across game development, content distribution, and advisory. Educated at The Fletcher School and HEC Paris.
He builds the structures that let value cross without losing its origin.
The real exists before the price, and remains the maker’s.
